Beijing Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd, registered in December 2003 by Sany Group, is a high-tech enterprise in Changping industrial park of Zhongguancun. We mainly specialize in R&D, manufacture and sales of all kinds of construction machinery products. Rotary drilling rig, as our leading product, has always been No. 1 in domestic market. Our rotary drilling rig has been widely used in a series of large and spectacular projects, such as the "Bird's Nest", capital airport expansion, Qinghai-Tibet railway, Beijing-Tianjin inter-city express railway, Caofeidian project, and Beijing-Shanghai high-speed railway. We have taken the initiative and realized batch export among our counterparts. We are competing with European and American products in the international market.

National Standard GB/T21682-2008 of Rotary Drilling Rig, which we have participated in making, has been issued and implemented by the national quality supervision department. Beijing Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd has been recognized as Beijing "Enterprise Technology Center" and has won "Zhongguancun 20 years Outstanding Contribution Award" in 2009.  Jia Qinglin, the standing committee of CCCPC political bureau and president of CPPCC, Liu Qi, the secretary of Beijing municipal committee, have successively visited Beijing Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd and shown their great expectations for Sany.

By December 2010, the total assets of Beijing Sany Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd have reached 5 billion RMB, the employees have surpassed 3,000, and the annual sales have been up to 3 billion. Our sales network covers all major provinces and cities in China, and we have set up sales subsidiaries in India, Russia, Brazil, Germany, the United States and other major international markets. Our products have been exported to more than 30 countries. We have also built Beijing Nankou Manufacturing Center with an area of more than 1600 mu and Beijing Huilongguan R&D Center with an area of 240 mu.

Beijing Sany Manufacturing Center is a product base which has been invested 8 billion RMB by Sany Group. The project has been divided into two phases. After completing the whole project, 11 product lines will form, sales income will reach 30 billion RMB, and annual tax revenues will be more than 1.8 billion RMB. It will be a model project of Chinese engineering machinery, which can provide 30,000 jobs.

No.1 workshop of Nankou industrial park is an important part of Beijing Sany Manufacturing Center, with the length 420 m, the width 96 m, the total construction area 43,800 ㎡. The production area is 40,000 ㎡, and the total investment is 1.5 billion RMB. No.1 workshop is mainly for producing rotary drilling rig, Kelly bar and related accessories. Production lines have assembly center, coating center, structural components production center, Kelly bar manufacturing center, processing center and so on. By the end of 2011, it will achieve the capacity of manufacturing 1500 rotary drilling rigs per year. It is a modern production line with greatest output and highest level of automation.

Kelly bar production line of No.1 workshop of Nankou industrial park currently has greatest production scale and highest level of automation within domestic. The whole production line is highly automotive, digital, intensive and intellectualized. The production line is in "U" type, which is based on “lean production” idea and "a flow" thought. It could meet the requirements of producing all kinds of Kelly bar, ranging from Φ150 diameter Kelly bar to Φ600 diameter Kelly bar,  22 m interlocking bar to 22 m friction bar. The whole production line has 5 robot workstations, 9 robots (3 Germany CLOOS, 1 Sweden ABB, 5 Japan FANUC), 3 special machines, 1 automotive coating line. The key processes, adopted the world top equipment, could effectively ensure the quality of products.

Nankou industrial park constructs according to "lean production" idea, arranges based on "a flow" thought, designs in the light of procedure of process. Close connection of manufacturing makes product valuable and the quality perfect. It adopts most advanced digital manufacturing management system and connects all the chains from design to simulating manufacture.
